We wish to acknowledge that we gratefully create on stolen land of the Lekwungen and Coast Salish Peoples, including the unceded territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We also wish to acknowledge that the dance theatre movement styles we explore in The Lovers are a rooted in cultures from the African, Latin, and Asian Diasporas, as well as the sex work profession.
